I think it is safe to say that my Baby Wish List for Baby #3 looks a whole lot different than it did with my first baby. My priorities and needs are different with this baby. I am finding that you actually don’t need a lot after the first baby. Some fresh new onesies, new pacifiers, bottles, and some updated clothing. But today I wanted to break down everything ON MY BABY WISH LIST FOR BABY #3. The items that I feel will make my life easier with 3 children, and some basic essentials that need a little refreshed. I also wanted to share my TOP baby items that I plan on using again with this baby.
I know that some of you are first time mothers, and you are wondering where to even begin. The list of baby must have items is honestly endless. So today, I hope to lighten your load and help narrow down some of my favorites for you!
One huge helpful tip is that less is definitely more with any number of baby. Babies honestly don’t need a whole lot. So sticking with items that you can use time and time again is the best way to go.

WHAT’S ON MY BABY WISH LIST FOR BABY #3
This is one item I knew I wanted well before I found out I was pregnant. Everyone I know who has one says this is the best baby item to have. So many of you readers also suggested on getting this too. I didn’t want to get the traditional black color, so instead I got this Desert Green color. It is so stunning in person! It sure isn’t a cheap baby item, however, it is very multipurpose. Being a car seat and stroller in one. The downside is that the car seat is heavy, but thats why the connivence of having it turn into a stroller quickly makes it totally doable. I am mostly excited to use this for school drop off and pick up and other quick errands.
One thing that hesitated me from ordering this is that I still have Lucy who is 2.5. There are several times where we will need to have her in the stroller as well. Or we all know she is my runaway child! So, in cases where we will be out on all day adventures, I am sharing my favorite stroller that will hold all 3 kids!
I have had my eye on this MZ Wallace bag for awhile and I really thinking I need to pull the trigger to use as my diaper bag. I love the storage, extra pockets, and the colors are absolutely stunning. Can’t go wrong with any of them. I do love using a backpack as a diaper bag, but I have several of them, so this I feel like I can justify. I own several MZ Wallace bags and what I love most is how lightweight they are. They weigh practically nothing with nothing in them. So many of my previous diaper bags already weigh so much and then you add all the baby essentials and it becomes such a heavy bag!
Another baby item I hear is amazing! I love that it is a sound machine, has a subtle night light for those late night nursing sessions. It also can be used as a light timer as the children get older. If your child wakes up before the sun, you can program the light to turn a certain color to indicate to the child that it is time they can come out of their room. Same idea applies for quiet time.
Since we aren’t finding out the gender of baby #3, I knew I needed to have some fresh new swaddles for the hospital. Not a necessity, but rather a want. I decided on one girly pattern and one boyish color tone, that way I am set for either gender!
Love this color and think it works for both boy and girl babies
One item I really should have purchased awhile ago, but with 3 kids, I will need a place for Edison or Lucy to stand when we are on all day adventures. This piggyback ride along board allows for one child to stand on the back of the stroller.
These are easily one of my favorite baby must have items. I got them when I had Lucy and knew I wanted to have a few more for the first few days/weeks. Luckily Solly baby has several gender neutral colors to choose from. I ordered a few and love them. They are soft, cozy for babies when they are brand new. I also love that the pants come up past their belly buttons during the very early stages when the umbilical cord is still attached. Helps to protect it. These also make for great gifts if you know someone who is expecting.
Thinking I will be living in a robe the first few weeks while getting the hang of nursing again. I love this simple, neutral robe and can’t decide if I want it in white or ecru.
I have heard so many great things about this nursing bra from Spanx. Ordering this to test out. Here is another style, the Bravado nursing bra that I really love, very comfortable, and can easily be slept in too.
Although this is an item that I won’t be needing right away, it is still an item on my wishlist for baby #3. The reviews on this is amazing. Plus every baby I have ever seen jumping around it in looks totally happy. I know there are several kinds of bouncers out there. But for our home, we don’t have any door frames and most don’t work without them.
One item I honestly wish I got when I had my first baby. So third baby it is!
We used these pacifiers with Lucy and I still love them. How adorable are these flower shaped ones for little baby girls.
BABY ITEMS I LOVED AND PLAN TO USE AGAIN FOR BABY #3
We bought this stroller 5 years ago when we had Edison and it still remains in great condition and our most used! I love all the new updated color schemes. So pretty. I love most that this stroller grows with your family. Works great for one baby, but if you plan on having more than one child it is something great to invest in. I love the large under storage compartment the very most, it was the main reason I purchased. Now that I will have three kids, I will be buying the piggyback kick board.
Another item I will be using for all 3 of my kids. I know there are several alternatives out there, but this is just one I have used and really loved. It holds my babies until they are about 5-6 months old. Or really until I am ready to move them into their own crib. I also love that it will fit perfectly into my Halo Bassinet. Another huge reason I love the Dockatot is it’s great to travel with. We just end up co-sleeping only when traveling that way we don’t have to have any other essentials for sleep. After all the pack list when traveling with an infant is insanely huge! Which is why this is a great item to have.
Another favorite that I’ve used for all three babies. I don’t have anything else to compare it to, but it does the job great. I love the swivel feature, height adjustment, and that it can hold my Dockatot. We use this for the first 4-6 months until I transition the baby to their own crib.
I’ve said it for years, but these munchkin changing pad covers are the best thing. HANDS DOWN! They are so inexpensive and save you from doing so much laundry!! I keep these anywhere I am changing diapers. I quickly lay one down before changing a diaper, especially poppy diapers. But if you have a baby boy, you never know when they might start peeing. It protects your changing pad, and is something quick and easy to add to any laundry you have to do.
The 5pm newborn essential. I forget how fussy babies get right around the early evening hours. We love gripe water and give it often to help settle their tummies. I also keep some in my diaper bag for those occasions when we are out in the breeze or wind. Helps to release the gas from the babies tummy.
I love all Nose Frida Baby products. They have great starting out kits if you are a first time mom, or if you are buying for an expecting mother. The Nose Frida is honestly so disgusting, but it is effective and works. You will happily do it to help that little babe of yours.
One of my favorite memories as a first time mom is carrying Edison around in our Solly baby wrap. He took countless of naps in the wrap, and I packed him everywhere. These come in handy as you are navigating your new life. Helps you get things done around the house since your hands are free. I love wearing my babies while in stores or quick errands too. Great for those moments when you need to get out of the house and go for a walk to help sooth a fussy baby. Promise, this wrap saves your sanity.
There are so many options for swaddles out there, but when it comes down to it, these are the best that I have found. I have used several velcro swaddles and these pass every test. They actually keep your baby swaddled all night long. They are easy to put on the baby too, unlike learning how to perfect the perfect swaddling that stays.
These were not around when I had Edison, and I wish they had been because this is all Lucy wore as a newborn. It was her take home outfit from the hospital, and something she lived in for the first few weeks. I gift these to anyone I know having a baby. I just ordered this baby a few to wear as well. They work great for pajamas, but I honestly kept Lucy in them all day and used different pajamas for night time.
Again, there are endless amounts of baby swings out on the market. But this is one that I found that actually worked and helped calm my babies. I had a few other ones and my babies both hated them. I have also heard from several of you that this swing is the best one you have tried too! It folds up small too for storage.
