ARE YOU READY FOR IT…. Probably the most requested and sought out birthday party theme for all little girls right now! TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS TOUR THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY is one party to have right now! It’s one theme that is equally as fun for us moms to plan too, am I right?! From the glimmer, sparkle, fun color theme to the disco balls, Eras Tour elements and more this trending theme is one to remember!
We were able to add just the right amount of Taylor Swift elements while still keeping it age appropriate for my 5 year old daughter! Now, I will be completely honest with how shocked I was that she came up with this Taylor Swift Birthday idea on her own. It did come as a surprise to me considering she had a Spider-Man birthday just the year before 🙂 After browsing social media and Pinterest for girls birthday themes like rainbows, unicorns and PJ Masks, this little Swiftie had her heart set on a T.S. birthday!
Having a daughter is so much fun! Not only did she request a Taylor Swift Party, but she requested a Taylor Swift Doll!

HOW TO MAKE A TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS TOUR POSTER
I wish I could take credit for this idea, but I cannot! Thank you to the creative people on Etsy, I bought the template for under $10. It was so easy to use and came with simple directions. But you can watch my full video tutorial here to make things even easier.
Next I grabbed two large foam poster boards . You can find these at your local Walmart or Michael’s stores. I secured the two poster boards together with duct tape on the backside making it extra sturdy. You could always change the template size so it fits on poster board to avoid this step in general. But I loved the idea of having a larger poster.
I then went to my local Fedex store who was able to print off the large print for me. I also love using Staples for printing too. If you want to avoid the poster board step in general, you could print on a thicker card stock type of paper. But I simply avoided this for the sake of the upgraded cost. Instead I printed on regular paper and used this spray adhesive glue to carefully add it to the two poster boards. Once I sprayed it I let it dry completely before cutting the excess paper off the edges.

HOW TO MAKE A TAYLOR SWIFT BARBIE YOURSELF
If you are wondering why I decided to create my own Taylor Swift Barbie, the answer is simple. When searching for Taylor Swift barbies I couldn’t find any I liked or could’t find any that didn’t have a price tag of $200 and up! I found a couple of regular Barbies that I felt passed as a Taylor Swift Barbie due to her cute outfit and knew it would only require a little bit of change to make her stand out! The search continued for a perfect American Girl Doll or the Target Our Generation Doll to have a bigger Taylor Swift doll, but we landed on the Barbie and I am still so happy with how it turned out!
I knew this Barbie needed some very iconic Taylor Swift elements like the fringe, red lips, and red bottom shoes. Those were all simple and subtle changes that made a big impact! When it came to figuring out how to do the iconic Taylor Swift fringe correctly, I was a little worried about if it would work or not, but after watching a quick YouTube video I felt very confident that the fringe would actually lay flat.
HOW TO CUT FRINGE ON A BARBIE
I trimmed the Barbies hair to be at a length similar to Taylor Swifts and then I moved onto the fringe. I sectioned off the amount of hair I wanted for the fringe. Then I secured the hair over the face of the barbie with a rubber band. Next I used hot water from my electric kettle and dipped the barbie’s head into the hot water a few times. After attempting to train the Barbie’s hair to lay flat, I grabbed a blow dryer and completely dried the hair. After those steps I removed the rubber band and cut the fringe to the desired length. I repeated the previous steps with the rubber brand, hot water, and blow dryer with the new shorter fringe hairstyle. I left the hair in the rubber band to dry overnight. It worked great and still to this day the fringe has laid flat!
This is something that was easier than I thought it would be, a must try if you are going to create your own Taylor Swift Barbie!
