SAN FRANSISCO

MAIN ATTRACTIONS
Picture

I mean of course it is a MUST to visit the Golden Gate Bridge if it is your first time to San Francisco, like it was for me! I’m almost embarrassed to admit, but I was like a little kid of Christmas morning the first time I saw the Golden Gate Bridge. I had butterflies and cold chills. haha I have always had a interest in bridges and love everyone I see, small or big! This one has been on my bucket list for years! I am still in awe when I look at my pictures and realize they are finally mine, and not just someone else’s!!

This is the view point from Spencer’s Battery

The Painted Ladies, or aka The Full House home. If you get a change make sure to head to Alamo Square Park where these are located. I could have stayed all day if my husband let me!

I made sure to get a good view of this bridge from every angle!! These were my viewpoints of the Bridge.

Lombard street is a very must!! I’ll warn you, it is very busy! But it is totally worth driving down if you have a car. We did both drove and walked! If you are really feeling like having fun, We saw some people doing a Segway tour down the Lombard Street. My husband and I both thought that looked like a lot of fun!

Classic Tourist pose 🙂
We met up with a fellow blogger friend at the Japanese Tea Garden. It was a beautiful place to walk around for 30 minutes or more. But I will warn you if you have children the trails are not stroller or wheel chair friendly!
Picture

We were a little disappointed when we arrived at Billy Goat Hill to find that the well-known swing was taken down. However the view did not disappoint!
Picture

Biking over the bridge is something that everyone should experience. It was a lot of fun, hard work in the wind, and a sore butt recovery. But all in all, it was a great way to get a good feel and view of the city and Bridge. We were short on time or we would have rode all the way into the small town Sausalito. Instead we drove there 🙂

OH JUST THOSE PRETTY THINGS I HAD TO SNAP

We were only able to spend a little bit of time at Hayes Valley due to my flight leaving! Next time I go back I will make sure to leave more room to explore this adorable part of the city! You’ll find plenty of adorable shops and cute restaurants.

If I had to pick my top 2 things to do in San Fran. (the bridge being #1) I would have to say driving and walking the cute streets of the old historic, victorian homes in #2. This is something my husband and I love doing in almost every city we visit. I was lucky enough to experience it with my husband and good friend Amber. If you are interested in seeing the most beautiful homes EVAAA I would recommend walking the streets of Pacific Heights and Presidio Heights. I promise they won’t disappoint

Hands down the cutest floral shop I have ever seen with my own two eyes!!!
Just make sure to stop by Ampersand on your way to Delores Park. It is on a small road and sort of hidden. But it is the most quaint place to sit and relax!

My absolute favorite thing about blogging is having the opportunity to meet fellow bloggers. I had the opportunity to meet LaTisha from The Girl in the Yellow Dress. She is just was sweet in person as her Instagram photos make her look.

GORGEOUS WALLS + ART

Picture

You had me at LIPS!!!! This can be found at the Art Building next to Dolores Park.
Picture

I love a good wall when I see one!! This wall can be found in Mission District, across the street from the Motorcycle store 🙂
Picture

This can be found inside the Mexican Restaurant in Hayes Valley called Papito. Which had some amazing food. I ordered the Fried Chicken Quesadilla

Mr. Holmes Bakery was AMAZING! It was totally worth waking up at 6 am and standing in line for 40 minutes to try the cruffin (pictured above). We tried a bunch of other baked goods and my favorite was the Guava filled donut! Yum.. my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
Picture

Every Friday night in San Fransisco they have a Food truck rally known as Off The Grid. There were so many food trucks and not a big enough appetite to try them all in one day.  My favorite dessert just happened to be this Gourmet Cotton Candy. from Sugar and Spun. I tried the Cookie Butter and was so impressed. Let’s just say normal cotton candy just won’t cut it anymore. I’ll have to make the trip to SF to get my cotton candy fix 🙂

Are you drooling yet?
After we left the Japanese Tea garden in Golden Gate Park we were sure to stop by Twirl and Dip for the famous ice cream and ice cream cones!  I got Vanilla Bean ice cream dipped in Chocolate with sea salt and almonds sprinkled on top, in the homemade sugar cone!!!
You bet it was messy, but it was worth it

Picture

This chicken and waffle sandwich from the The Waffle Roost truck at the Off the Grid truck rally was AMAZing!!!
we also tried the Creme Brulee Cart
the California sisig burito from Señor sisig — it had fries in it people!! so good!!
Rocko’s Ice Cream Tacos — I mean they are the cutest and most delicious taco you’ll ever eat.

I recommend going to the Food Trucks with a lot of people, that way you each get one entree and share them. There was just too much we wanted to try but couldn’t make room for 🙁
Others that I didn’t try that looked amazing

We had to snap a picture. Our sweet waitress at Papitos brought some champagne to celebrate my 23rd birthday. I had to thank her for the sweet gesture but being LDS and choosing not to drink it would have gone to waste.
Picture

Make sure to head to Boudin at Fisherman’s Wharf, and try the bread bowl with soup. People recommend the Clam Chowder (i’m not a fan of clam chowder) but my husband loved it. I got a sandwich, which was good, but I wish I would have tried the bread bowl with tomato soup instead. Overall, it was so delicious, I would make a stop back next time we vacation here.

My husband picked me up from the airport just in time for a Sunset dinner back in San Diego at The Glass Door restaurant. It was such a gorgeous view of the palm trees and bay before the sun went down.

It was such a wonderful birthday week celebrated with my husband and friend Amber. I owe it all to them for giving me a trip of a lifetime to remember.

Other things we did that weren’t pictured …
Delores Park
Ghiradelli Square
Bay Bridge
Haight Ashbury
Muir Woods
Coit Tower
Union Square
Sausalito
