Whether it’s family night cuddled up on the couch, an at-home date night, or even a late night snack while catching up on emails- our go-to snack has always been Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn. There is just something about a fluffy, warm, buttery treat that is a major must in our household.
I come from a family who LOVES popcorn and I remember growing up packing Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn on road trips, or even munching on popcorn during overnight stays in hotels. But, what I didn’t know was that I was marrying into a major popcorn loving family. The Thurman’s are very specific about their popcorn and usually only a few family members take charge! It’s actually pretty fun to see! One thing our family has in common is our love for a multi-sensory experience while eating Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn. It’s light and fluffy all while being extra crunchy and honestly so delicious — the perfect popcorn combination.
Here are a few ways we incorporate Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn into our daily lives.
Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn Snack Time Ideas
FAMILY MOVIE “IN THE DARK”
Lately, since we are home a lot more often, one of Edison’s weekly (sometimes daily) requests is to “watch a movie in the dark” even in the middle of the day, he constantly begs for it to happen! I’ll hear him say, “Dad, I have a secret” as he runs over to Brandon putting his mouth to his ear I hear him say “Let’s watch a movie in the dark!” It’s the cutest thing, plus how can you say no to that??
Sometimes we have to get pretty creative and find new ways to keep Edison entertained (while mom and dad are eating one of our favorite snacks, Orville Redenbacher’s). Lately, Edison has really been loving blanket forts! We had so much fun making this fort and kept it up all weekend long. We watched lots of movies as a family while Brandon and I consumed lots of popcorn 😊 Since Edison is still young, and his patience is short once he gets his mind wrapped around an idea, we love using Orville Redenbacher’s Movie Theater Butter + Ultimate Butter Microwave Popcorn. Throw it in the Microwave, and while we wait for it to quickly pop, we have just enough time to grab Edison one of his favorite chocolate treats and pick up a few blankets to snuggle in.
AT-HOME DATE NIGHTS
Lately Brandon and I have had to get pretty creative with date nights with everything going on in the world. However, we feel that right now, it is even more important to keep finding time to focus on each other. I am with the kids all day long, and he is trying his hardest to keep his business running that we tend to forget about each other during the day. We are making it a priority to set aside some one on one time to spend with each other at least once a week!
Our new date nights look a little bit like this, at home, out on the patio with one of our favorite snacks, Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn, preferably the Movie Theater Butter Popcorn Tub! We love that it is the easiest to transport from the kitchen out to the patio and less of a mess to clean up later! Added Bonus.
Brandon and I get lost in telling stories about the kids, reading together, showing each other hilarious memes, and lately ending the night with a game or two of corn hole.
It’s always simple, fun, and of course yummy! But that is all we really need to have a great time together!
