Being a first time mom, there are SO many things to look forward to when shopping for a new little baby. It’s a lot of fun, but it can also be very overwhelming since there are thousands of baby brands and products to sort through. Even though this is my second time preparing for a baby, I don’t feel like I’m an expert — things are always changing! Yet while getting ready for a baby can be overwhelming – whether it’s your first or fifth – there are so many amazing resources that make it so much easier. One of my favorite experiences this pregnancy has been my Walmart baby registry – it has been a one stop shop for every thing we’ve needed to prepare for a new little one!

With Edison, I remember feeling so overwhelmed shopping for things we would need. I remember thinking some products seem so functional and practical, and yet I NEVER ended up using them! There were some items that we would use maybe one or two times, and I honestly felt like it was a waste of money. And then…to my surprise, there were several items I was gifted at my baby shower that I found to be not only useful, but my very favorite!

I’m so excited to share some of my current baby registry recommendations – of course, all available on Walmart.com – that I have found to be extremely useful and practical. Aside from all of the actual baby item recommendations, I also highly recommend Walmart.com to create your baby registry! As a mom, it was a no brainer that I wanted to have my baby registry with Walmart. It’s is my go-to store when I am looking for affordability – and their online grocery pick up is a game changer! I also wanted to have my registry at a place that would offer a wide assortment of brands to choose from – but also have the functionality to curate it to exactly what I needed for Baby Girl. And especially since this time around, I’m not only pregnant but also chasing a toddler, I needed a registry that was easy to fill out and that would allow me to manage it without any hassle. With thousands of stores to choose from, I also knew that I would be making it easy on my friends and family as they were shopping for gifts.

I loved the Welcome Box when I first signed up for our registry, but my favorite thing has to be the recommendation of the “best” baby items! I didn’t want to feel overwhelmed again like I did with Edison, and knowing which products are the best in their categories makes it so easy for me to narrow down the choices!

Here are some of my favorites when it comes to Baby Girl’s registry:

MY TRIED AND TRUE ITEMS THAT YOU NEED ON YOUR BABY REGISTRY

1 – Dockatot – I recommend this to everyone! It is such a great thing to have for the first 4-5 months. We don’t co-sleep unless we are traveling. But I love that it fits perfectly into my HALO Bassinest, and I can also pack it around the house and feel so much more at ease, knowing the baby is secure.

2 – HALO SleepSack – We used these up until 1 1/2 years old. I was always nervous about keeping a blanket or swaddle on the baby in case of suffocation. This SleepSack is a great alternative to keeping your baby warm.

3 – Aquaphor Healing Ointment – We love using Aquaphor on everything!

4 – Convertible Crib – Super similar to the crib we currently have. I love that is a 3 in 1!

5 – Formula Dispenser – If you plan to bottle feed, this is such a great thing to have when you are out and about, or traveling.

6 – Owlet Baby Monitor – Such a piece of mind! We use this from day 1!

7 – Babyganics Sunscreen – One of my favorite sunscreens. Of course you are advised to not use until baby is at least older than 6 months to a year, but when you do start using sunscreen this is our favorite.

8 – HALO Bassinest – Worth every penny!!!

9 – 4Moms MamaRoo Baby Swing – We have this and love having a place to securely place your baby for a few minutes.

10 – Huggies Little Snuggles Diapers – This is what we have always used, and we still love Huggies!

11 – Avent Bottles – A great bottle option of you are bottle feeding.

12 – Activity Play Mat – These are great when your baby is 3+ months! Something for them to look at, admire, and eventually a great way to help them want to roll over.

13 – 4Moms Breeze Go Portable Travel Playard – If you plan on traveling often, having a portable travel playard is a great thing to have on your registry.

14 – Aquaphor Wash and Shampoo – You’ll go through this quick!

15 – 4Moms Highchair – I love the easy and simple magnetic tray. It’s easy to use, and I love that your child can climb up, once they are old enough, to sit in the chair themselves.

16 – Changing Pad – If you don’t have one of these, you should add it to your registry. We love having one during the many early stages of diaper changing.

17 – Bounce Activity Center – These are so fun when your baby is old enough. It keeps them so entertained, or at least long enough to get some lunch or dinner ready.

18 – Walker – My son Edison, who is 2.5 still loves this!
