Wow!
I was so blown away by the huge response on my snapchat and Insta stories about the Lactation cookies I recenly posted.
Since so many of you were interest in receiving the recipe for these delicious Lactation cookies I decided to go ahead and share it here on my blog as well.  here is the link from my Pinterest.  I wanted to share this post with all of you today because I can now relate to apparently so many of you, and I can relate to how frustrating it can be to have low milk supply. So it sure makes me feel a teeny tiny bit better about not being the only one.

Make sure to follow me on Pinterest

I also wanted to share a few more favorites that I have tried and felt helped boosted my supply. A friend of mine shared a yummy smoothie recipe that I will also share with you guys.
…

Here is a list of some things I have tried as well to boost my milk supply.

Lactaion Blend pills

Mother’s Milk Tea (so gross, but I do it anyways)

Steel Cut Oats (every day for breakfast) – I have found it easy to buy the original steel cut oats, not the quick microwavable ones, and cook it in a small crock pot. Same portions apply. That way I have enough to last we all week long. All I have to do is scoop it in a bowl and microwave it. So simple

Belvita Biscuits –  (I prefer Blueberry) I munch on these in the middle of the night while nursing if I am hungry. Or just as a little snack through out the day

Water water water – although I still could keep drinking more!

LACTATION COOKIES
(The recipe on Pinterest is for a pre made jar to gift. I will go ahead and share what I did)

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. sea salt – I used regular salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chocolate chips (dark chocolate) – I mixed both milk and dark chocolate
1/4 chopped raw almonds or walnuts (optional) – I did almonds
1-1/2 c. rolled oats
2 Tbsp. flaxseed meal – found here
1 Tbsp. Brewer’s yeast – found here
1/2 cup melted butter (cooled)
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sea salt, baking soda and baking powder, sugar, brown sugar, flaxseed meal and yeast. Stir together. Then add oats and almonds. Stir well. Lastly, stir in chocolate chips.

In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup melted butter (cooled), 1 egg and 1 tsp. vanilla. Pour into large bowl and mix well. Place balls of dough on a greased or parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Banana Oat Smoothie

INGREDIANTS:

1 Banana
1 cup Almond Milk
1/3 cup Rolled Oats
2 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Peanut Butter
1 tbsp Brewer’s Yeast – found here
1 tbsp Flaxseed Meal – found here
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 cup Ice

DIRECTIONS:

Toss all ingredients into blender and top with crushed ice. Blend well

Boosts your supply similar to about half a dozen lactation cookies, Except this is a much healthier option!!

This is a great post! I have to mothers milk tea and eat lactation cookies to increase my milk supply. I’ve tried the recipe you posted minus the almonds and it’s delicious and plus they do work. Anyways I love your blog! Thanks for sharing your baby posts.
