I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was to try the Maskcara IIID Foundation and contour palette. I had always heard so many great things about it and everyone mentioned how easy it is to use and blend which is a HUUUUUUGE thing for me. I am no makeup pro, so anything to help save time by not having to blend my face for 20+ minutes will make my life and also your life so much easier.
After giving Maskcara a try for the last couple weeks, I can honestly say I know why everyone loves this product so much and I am 100% hooked.
I have tried several contour kits over the last few years, all mostly powders, but this Maskcara IIID HAC Pack is hands down the best one I’ve used. Before I was introduced to this palette, I was using the Kat Von D powder kit and did like it, but always felt feeling a little blahhhh. I wanted something that created the perfect dewey glow everyone was talking about. So then I decided to try the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit and ended up returning it back to Sephora because I wasn’t impressed with the blending process or the entire kit itself.
I am so happy I started using the Maskcara IIID Foundation for so many reasons, but how about the fact that I can get my face make up done in 5 minutes or less. Say whaaa? Yes, no joking here! That’s foundation, concealer, bronzer, highlighter and blush in less than 5 minutes. Something I am so excited for, especially since I’ll be having a little baby soon. I won’t be able to have all the time in the world to get my make up done like I do now!
I love that the Maskcara IID Foundation and Palette comes in one small tin compact making it easy to take on the go! (magnetic, I might add!!!)
You can create your own custom color palette for any shade of skin. But I wanted to share which colors and products I am currently using.

Maskcara HAC Brush
I just wanted to give you a little idea on how I typically apply the Maskcara IIID Foundation.
Next I use the skinnier side of the Maskcara HAC brush and use the Concealer. I create one large triangle under each eye, following my eye shape in a sweeping motion to my temples and done the outer sides of my nose. Next over my chin and in between the contoured lines created previously created under my cheekbone and jawbone. This is where it begins to look a little scary! Don’t stress just yet 🙂 I then start at the top of my nose, in between my eyebrows, to finish off my forehead with the Concealer.
After contouring my face (which is also becomes your overall foundation, I take my beauty blender, wet it first, then lightly tap my face with the sponge to blend all the lines together.
Using the same brush, (wide end) I lightly tap the blush onto my cheekbones. A little of the blush goes a long way! I learned that the hard way 🙂
I finish off with the illuminator applying with my finger. I apply under my eye in the outer corner, bridge of my nose and anywhere else I feel like needs a little brighter glow!
Lastly, I set my face with the setting powder.
I don’t do this every time, but if I am in a hurry, I apply, using my finger, the blush color on my lips for a fresh pink tone that stays on really well!
It is a little difficult to get a full idea on what I did just through text, so I wanted to share the video that I watched when learning how to use.
Here is a video that Cara herself did showing how easy it is to us!
