WOW!!!
It has only taken me a year and a half to FINALLY share with you all our complete and finished living room. Well (almost) finished. But finished enough to finally reveal this modern family room living space with you all today. Can you tell I am so excited over here! Literally gleaming for joy to share our Classic and modern living room remodel!
This room was NO easy task when we took it into our hands a year and half ago. It had so much Spanish vibes with a very structural fireplace and old dated carpet. (I hope to share a before and after blog post soon to reveal the entire living room renovation!) We have completely transformed this space and made it feel more like home! Now every single time I walk by the living room space I smile and am so happy with how it turned out!
This modern living room is our families gathering space and I really wanted to make it both special and comfortable! I wanted it to feel warm and cozy, which I do feel it portrays, yet while staying true to our style design with a mix of traditional and modern vibes.

Ceiling Fans – A little splurge, but well worth the money!!
From the bright color scheme down to the vases, each and every piece of furniture and accent was centered around both this gorgeous Interior Define couch we customized and these two Room & Board accent chairs! When contemplating what we wanted in this space, we knew we needed a sectional that would fit the room’s layout and design perfectly! Interior Define made it so easy to choose because we were able to customize our selection and make it fit our home style. We choose the Owens U-Sectional in the Suit fabric with a matte brass finish on the square outline legs and I am still in love with how it turned out. It is hard to tell, but the Suit fabric choice has a subtle herringbone pattern in it, which gives off the perfect amount of texture.
I have had my eye on these Callan Accent chairs from Room & Board for over 2 years! I have always been obsessed with the gorgeous brown, cognac color and overall design of the chair. I actually almost decided on the black chairs back when we first bought this home, but am so grateful that went with my gut and went with the cognac brown color. It pairs so beautifully with our natural wood colored ceilings.
As I mentioned earlier, this Modern Living Room Remodel is (almost) complete. I say that because we still have a few things to fix and add!
MORE FIREWOOD in the wood box to be one of them!! I laugh with you all because I was dying when I order 4 boxes of birch wood a few weeks before shooting this and officially finishing our fireplace that sat unfinished for 9 months. In my mind, I thought 4 boxes of 10 logs would at least fill the wood box half way! BOY WAS I WRONG!!!
I was laughing hysterically when the first box I stacked gave me two rows. TWO ROWS!! I even brought out a ladder and everything!! Long story short, Brandon makes fun of me on a regular that I only bought 40 logs! But to me, I had a vision that they would be a bit larger in scale!
So, with that being said, I do plan to order more logs to fill up the entire woodbox for a more complete look! I had already scheduled the photoshoot and didn’t have time to order more logs.
A lot of patience and LOVE went into this room. Brandon and I both played a big roll into how it was designed and of course contracted. We couldn’t do it without the help of some amazing people and brands.
