I am so excited to share some of my most cherished photos I have taken as a mother, thus far.
Being able to capture the sweetest moments with my two children in my own beautiful home, and with one of my very favorite baby brands, Solly Baby wraps made my mama heart SO HAPPY!!
I have been a loyal fan of Solly Baby fabric wraps since I was pregnant with Edison! I remember getting my first fabric wrap and literally practicing wrapping the wrap around my giant belly, and may or may not have worn a stuffed animal around “for practice” haha! Isn’t that such a first time mom thing to do! I just wanted to make sure that I knew how to wrap and securely hold my newborn baby perfectly before he even arrived.
Edison was only 2 or 3 days old before I started to wear him around the house in the Solly Baby and that is when I knew how special a small piece of fabric truly was to me.
I am so excited to be featuring the newest Fall line with Solly Baby today. The line is filled with the most gorgeous color palettes, soft hues, and perfect patterns. A perfect color for anyone! Today I am sharing and styling Speckle, Vintage Floral and Neutral Stripe.
Which one is your favorite?
SOME OF MY FAVORITE MOMENTS AS A MOTHER BEGIN WITH WEARING A SOLLY BABY WRAP
I remember being so exhausted and tired from being a new, first time mom with Edison. Being able to wrap him up, always helped to calm him down, keep him from crying, and would eventually help him to fall asleep.
We got to the point when he was around 6 months old till 8 or 9 months that he would take his morning nap in his crib then his second nap snuggled up to me in the wrap. I looked forward to that nap hour, each and every day. The sweet gummy smile when they look up at you with tired eyes always melted me!
The first few outings I braved as a new mom were made possible because of my Solly Baby fabric wraps. I felt like I could go anywhere, while feeling so much more at ease knowing they were safe and secure on me. Not only did I feel that way, but I knew Edison and now Lucy feel safe and secure where ever we go being close to their mama.
I laugh back at the memory of my first solo Target trip when it was just Edison and I. I had him in the carseat, which meant, I could only shop for small things (if you know, you know!) But we weren’t shopping long before he started to cry. His small cry immediately turned into a loud newborn scream and I started to panic. I wasn’t sure what to do, or where to go. So I hurried over to the paper towel isle, since we were close by, and I knew hardly anyone would be there, and started to wrap on my Solly Baby as fast as I could. The moment I started to put Edison in the wrap and bounce up and down and swaying back and forth calmed his cry. I was able to take a few deep breathes and continue on our shopping trip in peace.
WHY WE LOVE THE SOLLY BABY WRAPS + SLEEPERS
Picking and choosing which fabric wrap from Solly Baby You’ll want to buy may just be the toughest decision you will make this week! Or ever! KIDDING! But, it really is when each and every color and pattern speaks to you in one way or another. Two other Solly Baby wraps colors that I love and use often are Flax and Camel . They go with so much of my wardrobe which is one thing I think of before making a decision.
Solly Baby has expanded their brand over the past few years and now offer swaddles and their newest baby sleepers and sleep gowns.
Their swaddles are some of my absolute favorite for many reasons.
Easier to swaddle with their stretchy and giving fabric

WHY I LOVE OUR SOLLY BABY WRAPS
When I found out I was pregnant with Lucy, of course I had several emotions and thoughts on my mind, but one thing I always kept thinking was how grateful to know that I would still be able to be hands free and help and give attention to Edison by being able to wrap Lucy in the Solly Baby. It really was such a comforting feeling and still is now that Lucy is here.
I feel more confident going out and about to meet up with friends or just run a few errands alone with the two kids, especially since Lucy is still pretty little. She is generally very content while being worn in the wrap and I know I can still be there for Edison or take off in a sprint when he runs away from me! Anyone else relate??
One of my VERY favorite things I love about the Solly Baby wraps is that it keeps my baby safe and secure and away from people. I know that when they are wrapped on me, people out in public can’t touch their faces, ask to hold them or even breathe on them. Such an important thing especially if you have a new baby around flu season.
TIPS ON HOW TO WRAP YOUR BABY AND GET YOUR BABY TO ENJOY THE WRAP
Each time I am wearing Lucy or even when I wore Edison in the wrap, I get asked how to wrap them, and how to get your baby to enjoy the Solly Baby fabric wraps. I wanted to share a couple of tips regarding those two questions.
Learning how to use the wrap and secure your baby in it.
– I highly suggest watching the Solly Baby video tutorials. You can see them HERE. These videos are the exact same ones I used when I first learned. They are so helpful and very easy to follow and understand.
-The next best thing I can suggest is to practice, practice, practice! I mentioned earlier that I practiced before I even had a baby! The more you do it, the more confident you will feel.
– Secure the wrap tighter than what you would think. It is better to have your baby closer and more secure to your body then having them slide down and be resting on your belly. You want them high on your chest. Especially if you continue to wear them for over an hour and while walking around. Gravity takes over and they will start to settle into a lower position.
-Put the wrap on and put the baby in while watching yourself in the mirror. There is a lot of fabric that can get mixed around. When you watch in a mirror it is easiest to see what you are doing and how your babies body is positioned.
-When you are first learning how to use the wrap, it can feel super overwhelming trying to put on the wrap without a mirror. One thing that helps me when I know I was going out in public, like the grocery store or the mall, I put the wrap on before leaving the house. That way when you get to your destination, you can just transfer your baby from the carseat straight to your chest without the fuss of the wrap being on the dirty ground.
Tips on getting your baby to enjoy the wrap
-Start wearing them early! I started both of my babies when they were just days old! Of course they fussed a little the first few times we tried, but they eventually relaxed and later learned to love being in the wrap!
– If you have an older baby, I suggest wrapping them up when it is close to their nap time. They may feel more comfortable and able to settle into the wrap when they are sleepy.
On bright sunny days, when we are out and about walking around. One thing I love about the Solly Baby fabric wraps is the extra long tails you have hanging around your waist. I will take those long tails to cover my babies legs, then tuck the extra fabric under their bums and sides of their legs so you don’t have to keep holding the fabric in place and still remain hands free.
Of course I still do my best to stay in the shade, but having this extra amount of fabric covering their bare legs makes me feel so much better.
If your baby takes a pacifier, I generally have a pacifier clip hooked onto the wrap. I hook it onto the same piece where the Solly Baby tag is. I love placing it there so that way when Lucy isn’t in the mood for a pacifier I can gently tuck it into the fabric so it can stay clean and not floating around!
