EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO MAKE ICED CRIO BRU

It all started earlier this summer when my friend Whitney brought me my first Crio Bru drink on my birthday as a gift. (Hands down my favorite gift I’ve been given) I couldn’t stop thinking about the delicious dark chocolate flavored drink. She had known I wanted to try it, after she talked about her obsession of the drink for several months (maybe years) — it truly was love at first sip 🙂 I texted my friend that next week and told her to share everything she used to create what I feel is “the perfect cup of iced Crio Bru”

MAKE YOUR OWN CUP OF ICED CRIO BRU AT HOME

This recipe is a bit of a process to start, but then it’s easy to throw together for the rest of the week and make a quick cup for the day.
First you’ve gotta make your Crio Concentrate
(Crio Bru can also be made in a coffee maker)

CRIO CONCENTRATE:
5 cups water
1 1/2 cup Crio Bru grounds depending on how strong you like it – My personal favorite is Ghana Flavor

DIRECTIONS:
1. Add to a saucepan and bring to a light boil.
2. Simmer stirring every so often for 20 minutes. Keep lid on.
3. Let cool another 20 minutes (or more) and then drain the grounds using a French press. Toss out leftovers
4. Then refrigerate in an airtight jar or container. (I use the large mason jar) Makes about 16 oz. of concentrate.

ICED CRIO BRU INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup Crio Concentrate
1/2 cup milk (whole milk or almond, coconut milk, cashew) – My personal favorite is Almond Milk with 30 calories
1-2 Tbs. canned coconut milk (Shake up the can, pour it into an airtight container and store in my fridge to use throughout the week or two)
1-4 tsp. Coconut Palm sugar
1-3 dropper full French vanilla stevia drops or 1 packet of French Vanilla Stevia.
1/2 cup Ice – or as much as you want

DIRECTIONS:
1. Shake Crio Concentrate then pour into glass tumbler.
2. Add all ingredients to Crio Concentrate and stir together until sugar is dissolved.
3. Enjoy cold with a straw.

You can also make Crio Bru warm. Just leave out the ice and warm up in the microwave.
