EVERYDAY HAIR ROUTINE

I love being able to share something you guys are super interested in, so today I want to break down my exact hair routine for you!

If you followed me on IG stories you would have noticed I typically go 4-5 days between washing my hair. During those days, I only curl my hair once, on day 1 with the T3 Curling Wand Trio. This is a major time saver for me and has made all the difference in keeping my hair healthier!

MY STEP-BY-STEP WEEKLY HAIR ROUTINE

STEP 1

On day one I always wash my hair with Purology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner. I also sometimes mix this Purple Shampoo with the Pureolgy to help my ends from going brassy. It’s a great shampoo for all my blonde girls out there! One tip when conditioning is to use less than you think. I only use a penny size drop and try to
keep it mostly at my ends. This is a great thing to try if you keep finding that your roots are getting greasy!

STEP 2

After Shampooing and conditioning, I always comb my hair out with a hair pick while my hair is wet in the shower. I find it is the easiest time to comb my hair when it is smooth from the conditioner.

STEP 3

Next, I wrap my hair in this towel turban for about 10-15 minutes before letting my hair air dry until it’s completely dry. I feel that a turban is better to use because it’s lighter and less damaging for your hair.

STEP 4

After my hair is completely dry I go ahead and use the 1 inch barrel from the T3 Curling wand. I use the smallest barrel on the first day so the curls can relax to a natural beach wave by day 3-5. I use these clips to section my hair into 3 sections. Behind my ear, at my temples, and 1 inch down from my part.

STEP 5

I start curling my hair on the bottom layer by taking 1 to 1 1/2 inch sections. Always be sure to curl away from your face. You can mix it up, but to have a more natural beach wave look keep the curls going in the same direction. I continue this method holding the iron on the hair for 3-4 seconds. Never too long, but also depends on the texture of your hair.

STEP 6

After curling my hair, I wait until the curls are completely cooled, then I take my Wet Brush and brush through the curls.

A FEW HELPFUL TIPS

Tip #1: If you get a curl too tight, hold the 1 inch piece at the end, pulling on it, to straighten it. Then use the wand as a straightener and iron your hair in a downward motion, never up since your hair cuticles face down.

Tip #2: Keep your ends away from the wand and the heat. This helps make the overall look more natural.

Tip #3: Keep hair flat while wrapping around the barrel. Try not to twist the hair while wrapping.

Tip #4: Don’t touch curls or hair until you are ready to brush them out.

Tip #5: Be patient with your hair after taking the pony tail out and brushing it with the Wet Brush each morning (referencing steps below). There may be a small kink, or more loosened curls. After about 10 minutes your curls will start to form again and look more natural.

HOW TO GET YOUR CURLS TO LAST 4-5 DAYS AND ONLY WASH 1-2 TIMES A WEEK

STEP 1

Pull your hair up on the top of your head using the Invisibobble into a ponytail before going to bed each night.

STEP 2

Only use dry shampoo on day 3-5. If needed.

STEP 3

Use the Dry Shampoo for Brunettes on the last day before washing your hair. I use this one because my roots tend to become a little lighter after using Living Proof a couple of days. The reason I don’t use this one each day is because it changes the texture of my hair, and I can’t stand it for more than a day! Plus, It helps to cover grey hairs too!

STEP 4

Start training your hair! As silly as it sounds, it is possible. Just like it is when you need to train your hair when changing your part or getting bangs. If you hair is really greasy the next day after washing, try to go two days. Do that for about 2 weeks then gradually add an extra day. Continue this until you reach only washing your hair 1 or 2 times a week.

STEP 5

DON’T TOUCH YOUR HAIR! As hard as it can be, don’t touch your hair throughout the day.

STEP 6

Having the T3 Curling Wand Trio has really helped to keep the curls to last the entire time. I used to use Hot Tools and my hair would last 2 days curled before needing to touch them up. Once I made the transition and purchased the T3 I noticed a major difference with the hold of my curls!

I hope you give this method a try! I would love to hear if you do. You can also go and watch my IG Story highlights to watch how I curl my hair!
