WHICH DOUBLE STROLLER TO CHOOSE: UPPA BABY VISTA VS. BUMBLE RIDE INDY TWIN

Any new expecting mom that I talk to our conversation somehow always leads to the same question. “What are your most favorite baby items?”  I don’t even have to think twice before I answer with “Invest in a good stroller, car seat and glider chair” Those are the three items that I feel you can use for every child you have to grow your family. After talking to experienced mother’s they say the same thing, especially those who went the cheaper route and bought a stroller that would just get the job done, instead of one that was built to last a lifetime. Today I wanted to share Which Best Double Stroller to choose : Uppa Baby Vista vs. Bumble Ride Indy Twin Strollers. I am sharing pros and cons for each stroller as well as our favorite features.

We have had our Uppa Baby Vista stroller for 4 years now and it is still in the best shape. Over the summer we got our first side by side stroller from Bumble Ride and I couldn’t be more in love with it. Continue on below to see my full review on both of these double strollers.

BUMBLE RIDE INDY TWIN STROLLER PROS:

Large Canopies With Extensions

This feature alone is unlike any other stroller I have had, and I have had a fair share amount, 7 to be exact! These canopies can cover the entire seat to protect the child from the sun, as well as blocking out other light when child is sleeping.

Seats Lay Down Flat

Edison’s favorite feature. He tells me he wants to “pretend sleep” and I can easily pull the seats down and adjust them so kids can lay flat. It’s pretty amazing. I have yet to take this stroller to Disneyland, but I can guarantee that the Bumble Ride Indy Twin stroller will easily become our go to for Disneyland as well as any zoo we attend or a full day out and about with our family. Being able to let your child sleep comfortably while strapped in a stroller is a must in my book. Pair this feature with the large canopy and you have an almost “black out” space for your child to sleep comfortably.

Fun and Unique Color Choices

I used to always stick with neutral colors or a solid black for strollers, but forget that! I love all these fun, unique colors that you are sure to spot.

Great Jogging Stroller

I can’t admit that I have actually jogged with this stroller, other than quick jog to catch up 🙂 But after talking with friends who use it to jog they love it! They just suggest to lock the front wheels if you are running downhill.

More Narrow Silhouette Than Most

This is the exact reasoning I wanted to have the Bumble Ride Indy Twin Stroller. It is by far the most narrow double side by side stroller on the market. It can fit through almost all door openings, which is such a big deal!

Built In Extra Storage Pockets

I use ALL the extra storage pockets! The small pocket behind the canopy is perfect for my phone and the larger drink holder storage work great for keeping water bottles close in reach.

Air Pump Included with Storage Pocket

You never want to be stuck in a situation with having low air in your stroller tires while being out. I love the convenience of having an air pump with you at all times, even with a small zipper enclosure that fits the pump perfectly.

Easy to Maneuver and Pushes Easily

This one is HUGE! A stroller that is hard to push leaves me feeling so frustrated. I love how easy the Bumble Ride Indy Twin Stroller swivels and pushes with the weight of two kids.

Optional Add-On Of Mini Board

Another great feature if you have more than 2 kids. Linked HERE

BUMBLE RIDE INDY STROLLER CONS:

Flip Flop Brake

I love the flip flop feature for breaking. But if you aren’t wearing closed toe shoes, it can hurt if you don’t angle your foot perfectly when trying to release the break.

Wider Than Standard Stacking Double Stroller

Of course this isn’t that big of a con, but it does make me think of what we plan to do that day before loading it into the car. If I need to run into stores or malls (or when I used to haha 🙂 I probably wouldn’t use it. Just because I am going in and out of smaller/tighter spaces and lots of door openings. I don’t want to feel restricted of not being able to go somewhere just because we can’t fit. But as I mentioned in the pros, this is the slimmest side by side stroller on the market! So it is totally possible.

Hand Rest Not Easy To Put in or Take Out

This is minor, and it’s not necessary that you take them off or on. But comparing to my Uppa Baby, I find that it is a little inconvenient that the kids hand rest bar can get in the way and is not the easiest to remove.

PROS ON THE UPPA BABY VISTA DOUBLE STROLLER:

One Handed Seat Recline

I love how simple and easy it is to recline your childs’ seat. You can do it one handed making it super easy, especially with a sleeping child.

Height Adjustable Canopy

This is something that eventually we needed to adjust. As Edison keeps growing taller, we noticed he would have to duck his head under to fit inside the canopy. But after adjusting them and moving them up, we no longer have that issue.

Large Storage Basket

Hands down the main reason I tell everyone about this stroller. It has the largest storage basket I have ever seen on a stroller. It has a 30lb limit as well. I have even taken the stroller to the grocery store before when Edison was a baby. I can pack a diaper bag, food bag, jackets, kids water bottles and anything else and still have so much space. It is also easy to get to which I find so convenient. I have used other strollers before and find it a huge pain when you can’t access the storage basket easily.

Multiple Configurations

I love that you can have multiple configurations with both toddler seats or infant car seats. This stroller is the best stroller for beginning your family. It works amazing with just one child with an infant carseat, and as they grow you can transition them to the toddler seat. If you plan to grow your family and  have two children you can use both the infant seat and rumble seat together and have multiple configurations between the two. This stroller is great option if you have twins as well.

Ability to Grow with Your Family and transport 3 Children

Just like the Bumble Ride you can have an option to add the Piggyback ride along board to transport your oldest child.

Adjustable Handle Bar

This feature is great for anyone who is taller. Both Brandon and I love it and always extend the handle bar to our liking. When you use the piggyback ride along, this is a great way to allow room for the child to fully stand up and have room between the handlebars and the stroller.

Magnetic Peeping Flap

I never thought about this being a great feature until my dad mentioned how much he preferred the magnetic closer verse velcro. His reasoning was the Velcro is loud and sometimes woke the child. Ever since then, I’ve always appreciate the quietness of the magnets.

Easy Breaking and Release

One that most people don’t think about until you have a stroller that isn’t the easiest to brake or release. I love that it is a simple step motion to break the stroller. With mine being 4 years old, it sometimes will stick a little. But even with that problem, it still is a great design.

CONS OF THE UPPA BABY VISTA DOUBLE STROLLER:

Rumble Ride Seat Weight Right on Front Wheels

I mentioned you can have multiple configurations which is ideal. However until Lucy was old enough I needed her to be closest to me. Now that is no longer the case, this issue of most of the weight sitting right on the front wheels wouldn’t be a huge issue. But until we reached that point it made it very difficult to push up hills or turn only because all of Edisons weight rested on the front axis.

Each Add On Costs More Money

But then again, what doesn’t these days! The rumble seat for the second child, the adapters if you don’t have a UPPAbaby carseat, cup holder.. basically everything is an add on. So it does add up.
