I couldn’t NOT share this special day that we had celebrating Lucy’s first birthday!!!
Believe it or not this simple Daisy Theme was all inspired by that cute Honey Bear bonnet. Since we call Lucy, Lucy Bear, I knew it was perfect. After searching lots and lots on Pinterest and IG, I knew I wanted to incorporate daisies and baby breath flowers and of course the perfect golden honey color. Thus the Daisy theme was born. Continue below for several links and more about the Daisy Theme Party.

How in the world is my baby already 1?????
Still in major denial over here! People sure aren’t lying when they say that having a second (or 3rd of 4th) kid really makes time SPEED by. It’s so true. This year happened in a blink, but we are so happy to have our sweet Lucy bear in our lives.
HAVE YOU SEEN MY 4TH OF JULY FAVORITES — SEE THEM HERE
I kept the daisy theme simple with ordering and buying several bunches of flowers through Trader Joe’s. Did you know you can do that? I just went in about 2 weeks before and put in an order. I bought 5 bunches each of both baby’s breathe and camomille flowers. I USED THEM ALL!!!
That is not including the beautiful garland that I had made through D & M Wholesale Flowers in San Marcos, CA. After a few phone calls and email exchanges we found the perfect combination of greens to add into the garland. I am in love with how it turned out. We used purmosa as some of the greenery as well.
With the bunches I ordered from Trader Joes, we used them in these cute bud vases, large Mason jars with lemons in them, and used them as hanging bouquets next to the cute face banner.
I found this cute customizable wooden “ONE” sign on Etsy and it was the first thing I ordered, after the cute bear bonnet of course!
It is such a fun and perfect touch to a one year old birthday party.

Golden Backdrop How To
We did this same backdrop for Edison’s 3rd birthday party. My husband thankfully does it for me.
But we just pick up 2 pieces ply wood from home depot. Paint them the preferred color choice. In this case we used Behr Paint in the color Saffron Strands.
I usually lay them flat to paint and just put some cardboard boxes under them. If you put them up on stands the wood will bend. So keeping them flat is the best option, especially since you are doing these days or weeks in advance.
After painting, Brandon secures the two pieces of plywood together with a 2×4 and screws. He puts the 2×4 in 3 or 4 different areas making sure it is sturdy!

FACE BANNER HOW TO
These cute cut out faces are SO MUCH FUN!!!
I got the idea from a friend on IG @kailawalls She made them into cupcake toppers. With Lucy however, there was WAY to many cute faces to narrow them down. So instead I made the cute banner. I was actually shocked at how many cutouts I had did. It didn’t seem like too many until I had Brandon help me hold it in the kitchen. We both laughed at how long it was!
Here is what to do!
-Browse through your camera roll and find all the best photos of you baby from their first year of life!
-Add all photos to a new album on your camera, that way they are easy to find.
-Upload the photos to your computer, then edit and crop them just around the face
-Print them out on regular card stock paper
-Buy some cute craft paper and pompoms
-Cut out all the faces and simple triangles and fit them to match the face size.
-Glue pompoms on
-Glue some string or yarn to the back of the hat (play around with them because the faces are now top heavy)
-If you plan on doing the cupcake toppers, just break a skewer stick in half and glue them on the back.
