YOU GUESSED IT!!!
We are officially adding a little one to our family, and we couldn’t be more excited!
I have to admit it has been SO hard to keep it a secret for 4 months. I tell you, I almost spilled it a few times over on my snapchat. Any time that I would send photos of baby items, or just chatting about being pregnant I made sure to confirm at least 4 times I was only sending it to the few people we told and not sharing it on my story! came close a few times though 🙂
I found out back at the very beginning of April and waited a few days to tell my husband, ONLY so I could plan a fun little way to share the exciting news! I found out fairly early (5 weeks) just from recognizing pregnancy symptoms I had always heard my friends chatting about. Sure enough I headed to the nearest Target bought some tests and took them the minute I got home, it wasn’t long before a positive sign appeared. I was shocked, more than anything, and didn’t really hit me for a long time that I was actually pregnant! Brandon, however made it super easy for me not to spoil the news to him the minute he got home, because he left for Vegas literally minutes after I found out!! 🙂
I feel extremely lucky to have had, so far, such a wonderful pregnancy, I never really got sick. Which is such a big blessing, I am the worst when it comes to throwing up 🙁 Even thought I never threw up, I still had days where I felt icky, and lazy. The only difficult part (which still continues) is having an appetite, NO FOOD sounds good. not ever!!!!!! I honestly don’t know how you mama’s have done it while feeling nauseous. I can’t even begin to imagine! I swear only the worst things you could eat sounded good to me. Lettuce, salads, grilled chicken, hamburgers were OFF LIMITS! (and still are) Hopefully now that I am in the second trimester things will become a little more relaxed and I can begin to eat better, healthier foods. The food I could eat and was very happy to eat was anything fruit! That is how I survived. Also, goldfish crackers, bubble gum, and pizza to name a few! Ha I tell you not so healthy, but at least I was able to find a few things that worked.
We will be finding out the gender here in just a few weeks! Right now I am 16 weeks along and we find out at 19 weeks!
What are your guesses??? I would be thrilled for either a boy or girl, I just can’t wait to find out for sure because I have been holding off buying anything. I don’t want to buy the wrong things, but each day it get’s closer, I get more and more ready to start purchasing all the babies goods!
We told my family right around Easter. Which ended up being such a fun time. It was still early on, but since I was already home I decided it would be so much better telling our parents in person rather than over facetime. I am so happy it worked out that way because I would not have wanted to miss my mom’s reaction. I will be posting a video soon on my Facebook page. Stay tuned, you won’t want to miss it!!! I die every time
As for the changes you will start seeing here at Navy Grace. My journey of beginning to dress this growing bump. So prepare for a lot of maternity wear, baby wish lists once a week, and soon baby fashion after this little squish gets here!
I couldn’t be more excited for this fun little journey I get to share with all of you! What a better community to ask all my pregnancy, maternity and new mama questions to! I trust you all more than anyone!!
Thanks so much for following this soon to be mama!!
Awww!! The most adorable announcement ever!! Congratulations!!

I am so so so happy for you! I felt the same with the food…nothing but mac & cheese and fruit sounded good. I’m 19 weeks now and I can definitely eat more but still not a lot sounds great, but I’m a picky eater as it is though. lol. I can’t wait to find out what you’re having! Congrats to you and your husband! And bulldogs love kids!!! Our bulldog loves our niece and nephews 🙂 But he’s afraid of them when they crawl. lol. I think he doesn’t know what to make of a creature that smells like a human but crawls like an animal. Haha! Anyways, I’m super excited for you guys!!!!
