What a strange unique time we are all dealing with right now. How are you doing mama? How are you feeling? What are you doing to keep sane? Keep your kids busy and occupied? Today I wanted to share A Complete Daily Quarantine Schedule For Our Family with you all. Just to give you a little glimpse into our daily lives the last few weeks.
Since we are all uncertain how much longer this social distancing and quarantine will actually last, I wanted to remember this simple time in our lives were I have just been present with our kids, Brandon, and even myself. I know looking back we will probably miss this simple life we are all living. We’ll miss just spending so much time together and building all the special relationships within our home. I know I will most likely miss not having any obligations, any place to be, and just being able to watch my kids grow up. The real purpose in this life.
Before quarantine, we were leaving the house pretty much every day. Nowhere in particular, but we just got out. Target runs, grocery shopping, gymnastics, the beach, park, play date etc. In the beginning it felt a little weird not having any place to be or really not being able to go anywhere. But I do miss not having a set schedule! Because Edison is not in school, we can change our plans day to day or week to week. Since being on quarantine we have seemed to find a daily schedule and routine without even meaning to. I began to notice a routine taking place around the 2nd or 3rd week of quarantine where I noticed that each day around the same time, we were doing the same things. Parts of me loves being on routine, but the other part of me finds it kind of annoying! haha I am a person who generally goes with the flow, so a routine and schedule has me feeling a bit off.
I know that after another week or two being on a routined schedule, we will learn to love it and then of course, we will find it hard to break once we are no longer on quarantine. Continue below to see a complete daily quarantine schedule for our family.

Before our quarantine life we ran a pretty similar schedule like I listed above. The only difference is we incorporated more activities outside of the home and things weren’t on such a regular schedule. But as a mom of two young kids. We are home a lot!! That is just kind of how it goes. It’s easier to stay home with young kids. They can roam and play as they will. Lucy is at an age where she just wants to be down to sit, roll, and play with toys. She gets a little wiggly and fussy if we have to hold her too long.
I am thankful that this current state in our lives has made it so that this quarantine life hasn’t been to difficult for us. Sure, it’s a bit obnoxious and annoying a lot of the time since all we want to do right now is leave, but I am doing my best cherish this time.
One thing I am thankful for is the age of both Edison and Lucy. They are very naive of what is happening. Edison does ask to go to Disneyland everyday. Bless him! He will sometimes ask to go to the zoo, park or play with friends. But once I tell him that things or places are closed due to people being sick and contagious he just says “okay, we’ll go tomorrow!” and that’s the end of it. He has yet to really cry over anything since he just doesn’t fully understand what is going on in our world.
A lot of days my thoughts are with you mamas with older kids. Kids who are very aware of what is happening. Aware that they can’t play with their friends or go to school etc. All you mamas who are trying to juggle homeschooling on top of everything else, I applaud you! All you mamas who are figuring out how to work from home, keep your children entertained and safe, all while being the cook, house cleaner and everything in between. I respect you! All your hard work will pay off! I promise you. We are all in this together (just 5 feet apart 🙂
